My story

About me

NK Dance & Fitness

My love for dancing as a child is where it has all began, with weekly ballet classes and into more styles of dance as I grew older. I eventually decided dance and especially, teaching was my career, so I followed my dream. I trained as a professional dancer and a dance teacher, qualified to teach ballet, jazz and modern. My professional dance experience includes dance contracts abroad, AC/DC video clip, Bacardi advert. I was offered to teach at Stella Mann Performing Arts college where I became a deputy principal as well.

A few changes sprung up and I moved back to Greece running holiday apartments but life is unpredictable and for health reasons I was forced back to UK. A few scars later and a fair bit of treatment, I was healthy and well again. But with my daughter as a toddler, I spend a few years being a mum. When my daughter went to school, I started taking adult ballet classes as a student. Well, the passion and love for dancing was still there so I pursued teaching ballet and dance to adults and eventually I became a group exercise instructor. This meant I could be with my family after school hours.

I have been teaching for various organisations, leisure centres, health clubs, participated, as well as, organised various charity events and run Energising retreats abroad. I teach a variety of classes such as FitSteps, Piloxing, Piloxing barre, Aqua, Body conditioning, LBT, Dance aerobics, chair based exercise , ballet, Pound, core stability, Yoga, Paracise.

Teaching inspires me and I love that feeling of satisfaction when my participants achieve their goals and seeing them improving.

When Covid came along and from one day to the next I was without a job, the virtual world entered my life. The group of people that joined my classes became my virtual family and we all supported each other through these difficult times.

My goal is to create a community with a holistic and energising approach to fitness and to a healthy lifestyle.
